Child Safety Standards
Effective October 27, 2026
Twyne, from Odd Pear Studio, LLC (“Odd Pear Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is a dating app for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These are our published standards for preventing, detecting, reporting, and responding to CSAE on Twyne.
- 1. Twyne is for adults only
- 2. What is prohibited
- 3. How we prevent and detect abuse
- 4. How to report a concern
- 5. How we respond
- 6. Reporting to authorities
- 7. Contact
1. Twyne is for adults only
Twyne is offered only to people who are at least 18 years old. Members provide their date of birth when they create a profile, and we do not allow anyone under 18 to use the service. Profiles and photos that appear to involve a minor are removed, and the account is banned.
2. What is prohibited
The following is never allowed on Twyne, in profiles, photos, voice notes, messages, or any other content:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualized content involving a minor;
- Grooming, sexual solicitation, or any sexual or romantic contact with a minor;
- Sextortion or the sexual exploitation of a minor in any form;
- Trafficking of minors, or content that promotes or facilitates any of the above;
- Using Twyne to seek out, contact, or arrange to meet a minor.
3. How we prevent and detect abuse
- Age requirement: an 18+ age requirement and a date of birth are collected when a profile is created.
- Profile verification: members can verify their profile with a live selfie checked by our identity-verification partner, to help confirm they are a real person.
- Photo screening: profile photos are automatically screened for unsafe content.
- Human review: our moderation team reviews reports and flagged content.
- Limited contact: Twyne is built around one active match at a time and likes that include a written message, which limits mass or anonymous contact.
- Block and report tools: members can report or block any profile or conversation from within the app.
4. How to report a concern
If you see a profile, photo, or message on Twyne that involves a child or looks like CSAE, please report it right away:
- In the app: use the report option on the profile or in the conversation. If the report is made from a conversation, a copy of the conversation is attached for our review.
- By email: contact@twyne-dating.com, with “Child safety report” in the subject line.
- Through our support form.
You do not need to be a Twyne member to report. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first.
5. How we respond
- Reports that involve a possible minor or CSAE are treated as our highest priority and reviewed first.
- We remove violating content, suspend or permanently ban the accounts involved, and block those accounts from returning.
- We preserve the relevant evidence as the law requires, and restrict access to it.
- We keep records of reports and of any warning, suspension, or ban.
6. Reporting to authorities
When we become aware of apparent CSAM or the sexual exploitation of a child on Twyne, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as required by U.S. law, and we cooperate with law enforcement and lawful requests from authorities.
You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678 (U.S.).
7. Contact
Questions about these standards, or requests from authorities, can be sent to contact@twyne-dating.com. See also our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
